The SFHA Factoring Conference will make every effort to demystify the relative burdens and obligations that face housing associations and co-operatives when working with mixed tenure estates.  A focus will be on the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011.  This Act introduced three main elements: registration of property factors; the Homeowner Housing Panel and the Code of Conduct.  The conference will discuss the Act and discuss how it affects housing associations and co-operatives, giving practical advice and information as well as how to comply with legislative obligations.

The conference will be held on Thursday 29 March 2012 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.  The cost per delegate is £165 for SFHA members and £240 for non-members and includes lunch and refreshments.
