Improvement Service Chief to Address SFHA Housing Support Group
The Chief Executive of the government's Improvement Service, Colin Mair will be speaking at the next meeting of the SFHA Housing Support Group on Wednesday 25th May at 10.30am in Edinburgh. Alongside Colin Mair, who will be talking about how housing associations can link up better with council and the NHS to deliver preventative spending measures, we will also hear an update from Jack Blaik of the Scottish Government about progress on the Self-directed Support Bill consultation and we will be discussing what the "personalisation" agenda means for us all as organisations.

SFHA Policy & Strategy Manager David Ogilvie said: "The Housing Support Group plays a critical role in terms of developing our sector's voice on sheltered and supported accommodation and housing support issues. This group has recently undergone some improvement of its own, as we are reinvigorating the format of meetings, inviting a range of challenging and topical speakers from across the housing support, care and local government arena to stimulate debate about the direction of future policy and practice in housing support, sheltered and supported accommodation at what is undoubtedly a time if immense change and challenge."

The group meets quarterly at Hanover Scotland HA's offices in Edinburgh and is open to all SFHA members - so if you haven't attended before, you are most welcome to join us - contact Karen Murdarasi on  0141 567 6228 for further information and to confirm your attendance.
