Don’t miss out: last few places remain for this week’s Chairs’ Conference
Gain a greater understanding of effective governance
Chairs play crucial and distinctive roles within housing associations and co-operatives. They must provide effective leadership to the organisation, all the while managing what can be challenging relationships with a wide variety of people and personalities. One of the most important of these is between the chair and the senior officer, where a balance must be struck in terms of ensuring that they can work well together whilst ensuring that decisions are effectively challenged and questioned.
By the end of this exciting and challenging two-day programme, delegates will have a greater understanding of how effective governance can be achieved through fostering effective relationships.
This conference is aimed at housing association chairs, governing body members interested in becoming chairs and senior staff members.
The conference will take place on 27 and 28 January 2017 at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld. To book your place, register online at www.sfha.co.uk/whats-on or contact the SFHA Events Team at events@sfha.co.uk or telephone 0141 332 8113.
Come along to challenge your thinking and gain ideas to take back to your boards for action.
