The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) exists to lead, represent and support the work of housing associations and co-operatives in Scotland. As part of restructuring we seek to recruit the following positions:

Business Services Assistant (P/T 21 Hours PE. Week) Salary: £19,755 per annum (pro rata) Location: Glasgow

The post of Business Services Assistant is a generic role that contributes to the SFHA's success by meeting the administrative support needs of the whole organisation.

The post holders will be able to provide administrative and business support in line with organisational needs and priorities and so work generically, recognising differences in aptitude, experience and preferences.

They will be required and expected to operate flexibly as a team sharing knowledge, workload and tasks as directed by the Head of Corporate Services. They may be supervised day to day by the Corporate Services Coordinator, or Head of Public Affairs and Head of Business Development (or other staff as delegated) when supporting those business streams.

This approach is designed to permit a flexible approach to business needs ensuring that resources can be directed to key priorities as and when needed, and will also promote consistency of the quality of support provided. It will also allow for personal growth and development by enabling post holders to work across all areas of SFHA and therefore enhance their overall skills and knowledge within a matrix environment.

We are looking for someone with either a qualification in Business Administration or relevant experience, and excellent general clerical and administration skills.

Business Development Officer - Salary: £23,518 per annum - Location: Glasgow City Centre

The Business Development Officer actively contributes to the SFHA's success through supporting the day-to-day operations of the Business Development team.

The focus of the post will be on selling commercial activities, which include selling advertising space, exhibitions, sponsorship, associates etc. Identifying and recommending appropriate opportunities for SFHA to develop. The post holder will assist with events and will develop and build relationships with sponsors, exhibitors etc. The role will be targeted with generating a significant amount of income from business development activity.

The post holder will liaise extensively with other colleagues across the organisation to ensure there is a cohesive and planned approach to business development. Direction of the priorities of this post will be determined by the Head of Business Development in consultation with the team.
