Housing Scotland Magazine & Spotlight Supplement

Why can't I find 'Raising Standards in Housing'?

'Raising Standards in Housing' was a comprehensive guide to housing practice which was produced in 1999 by the SFHA and the Housing Regulator (at that time called Scottish Homes).  Although sections of it were updated, it is now largely out of date and is being gradually replaced by stand-alone SFHA publications such as our Factoring Guidance and Rent Setting Guidance.  This is why we do not advertise it amongst the publications on the website.

Raising Standards is still available from the SFHA in electronic form (PDF) by request.  It is free to members.  The cost to non-members is £100, or £10 for each individual chapter.  To order it please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone our Reception on 0141 332 8113.

To suggest topics that you would like to see covered by new SFHA guidance, please contact us.
