Affiliate Membership

To meet the requirements of affiliate membership:

• Your organisation does not trade for profit;
• Your governing body is made up of voluntary committee members;
• Are registered as a company or an industrial and provident society;
• Set rents and costs at levels which are affordable to those in housing need;
• Are committed to effective participation by its tenants or other customers in the management of its homes;
• Will work with SFHA to ensure that government pursues policies and allocates sufficient resources to meet the needs of the homeless and badly housed in Scotland.

What does an Affiliate Member get as part of membership?

• Representation and Lobbying (liaising with decision-makers, influencing networks and representing the interests of members)
  
• Promotion and Campaigning ( profiling the achievements of housing associations and running high-profile campaigns for better housing, with quality press coverage)
