Policy is at the heart of the SFHA. We are always striving to represent our members' interests to Government, regulators and other bodies to achieve the best possible result for the affordable housing sector. This often takes the form of responding to consultations and contributing to working groups.

Providing up-to the-minute guidance, news and information to members is fundamental to our role as the go-to resource for our member organisations. Our knowledgeable team of Policy Managers provide housing advice on demand to our members by phone and email, and in person at conferences and on visits to housing associations.

Together with other experts from the sector, the SFHA's Policy Team publishes essential guidance and briefings covering the issues that matter to our members.

Housing associations and co-operatives do excellent work all across Scotland in some of the poorest communities. The SFHA's Policy Team seeks to promote and publicise the essential contribution of the affordable housing sector both to Government and in the wider media.

Our work is summarised every month in the SFHA Digest, which incorporates links to detailed briefings and other relevant documents.
