The aim of this guide is to offer associations some insight into the principles and practice of preparing an Internal Management Plan (IMP). The emphasis is on the use of the IMP as a management tool, and on the planning process rather than the plan itself. Although consistent with Communities Scotland's expectations, it stresses the value of the IMP for associations themselves.
