Become a Board Director

We are recruiting for three SFHA Board Directors who represent one of our following constituencies:

  • City of Glasgow
  • Other Cities
  • Rural and Islands

SFHA Board Director

The role of Director is essential to the effective running of the SFHA and signifies an exciting opportunity at a time when innovative strategies based on balancing member’s needs and Government policy is becoming more challenging than ever before.

More information can be found by clicking here to see the role profile.

Chair of the SFHA Board

This year, there is an additional opportunity for applicants to express their interest to be considered as the next Chair of the SFHA Board. The chair will have a number of responsibilities including ensuring the SFHA and member’s compliance to statutory obligations and regulations, as well as representing our membership, it’s collective goals and all relevant stakeholders internally and externally, helping build the organisation’s profile and achieve success.

Over the past few months, we have seen the importance and power of compassion and innovation across the country. Therefore, at a time when social injustice and its effects are more obvious than ever, it is key that the chair of the board is not only creative and forward-thinking in their approach, but should be consciously and continuously developing their skills and breadth of knowledge of our members to benefit all relevant stakeholders. This is a high profile role and we’re looking for someone who will be visible and can represent SFHA with various stakeholders, at all levels, including with members, tenants and Government Ministers.

Further details for this position can be found clicking here to see the role profile.
