Salary: £61,527 - £67,926 (Starting salary is negotiable depending on experience)
35 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Loreburn H A is a registered charity established in 1982 operating across the Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland. We own and manage over 2,500 properties across Dumfries & Galloway, offering a wide variety of accommodation and services to suit a range of needs. With fuel poverty a significant challenge in the region, the Director of Property and Development has been created to take forward our strategic vision including developing new homes to Passiv Haus standard and ensuring our asset investment results in high energy, quality homes for our customers. This post is critical to our long-term success, as the Director of Property and Development will position quality homes, new housing and people at the heart of our business. Often housing association’s new homes are their show stopping product but at Loreburn H A we are as committed to investment in our current stock to ensure we offer quality homes with the highest energy standards to loyal longstanding customers.
The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker with an exceptional track record of property and people management, a strong commitment to excellence and driving forward improvements. With a £175m portfolio of homes, a commitment of £50m to build 353 new homes and a significant Asset Management budget over three years, the job will be fast paced and interesting. Due to our ambitious development programme, the introduction of a Repairs Service in addition to the significant challenge to upgrade the energy efficiency of existing stock in a cost-efficient way we know we are looking for a special person. Someone who can interpret and drive big picture thinking within a culture of empowerment and innovation.
