Cunninghame Housing Association is the first Housing Association in Scotland (with more than 50 employees) to be awarded Investors in People Platinum, Investors in Young People Gold Accreditation and Investors in People Health & Wellbeing Good Practice Award. With more than 2,500 properties in North and East Ayrshire the Association plans to build circa 1200 plus houses within the North and East Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway areas over the next 5 years. Cunninghame Housing Association are now looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to manage their Resident Services Xtra service. Resident Services Extra undertakes both planned and cyclical work in Association owned housing and commercial properties. We are looking to recruit the following position: -
We are looking for an experienced Direct Works Supervisor to manage a recently set up direct works team operating within the Housing and Property Services Department of Cunninghame Housing Association.
You will lead and manage a team of professional trades people responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Cunninghame Housing Association’s programmes of kitchen and bathroom replacements, individual component replacements, Home Fire Detection Systems, Electrical Safety Inspections and general property and grounds maintenance. The Main focus of the role is to ensure high levels of productivity, standards of workmanship and satisfaction rates are achieved for all refurbishment and general maintenance work.
It is an essential requirement that you have an in depth knowledge of planned and cyclical maintenance work with a recognised professional qualification or trade background. The ability to lead and manage a highly skilled workforce, providing advice and guidance on technical and management issues is required along with taking direct responsibility for the effective delivery of a responsive, commercially sound, customer focussed service. You will assist in continuously developing the service to meet the changing needs of tenants, supporting the delivery of service improvements to improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction and driving innovation and the consideration of non-traditional solutions that increase quality and value.
To be successful in this role you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to promote and maintain a culture which places customers first and aims to deliver a high standard of service and be experienced in managing and planning your own and your team’s workload on a day to day basis in a results orientated environment. Key to your success will be a mix of technical expertise, financial acumen and hands on leadership skills. (A Full Driving Licence is essential for this post)
