Job Description

Head of Development and Business Growth

Bield have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Development and Business Growth to join our Business Development Team.

Based in our Glasgow Office and reporting to the Director of Business Development, this key leadership role will be responsible for identifying and creating business opportunities for growth and development and responsibility for the delivery of all aspects of the organisation's development programme. Responsibilities include leading the strategic planning to maximise value and potential to make great homes for existing and future customers.

The successful candidate will also play a key role in the execution of Bield's Fundraising Strategy, overseeing all fundraising submissions and the implementation of a Marketing Strategy aligned to the overall Business Strategy. Working in partnership with key stakeholders, you will also be responsible for contributing to the progression of Bield's Digital and Technology Strategy from a property perspective.

As Head of Development and Business Growth, you will be commercially adept with an appetite to drive business growth and shape the future direction of the organisation. It is essential that you can demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in delivering strategic and operational results across a wide portfolio in a changing environment. That you have experience of setting and reporting on budgets, leading and developing a team, and writing successful tenders and/or commissioning works. You will be educated to degree level and it would be desirable if you held a PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification. The successful candidate must also hold a valid driving licence.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, car allowance, company pension and 34 days holiday (pro-rated for part-time) with the option to buy or sell leave each year. Bield also offers flexible working.

Hours of employment are 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.
