Job Description

New Property Management Officer, Glasgow

Bield have a new and exciting opportunity for a Property Management Officer, with planned works lead responsibility, to join our property management team.

Based in our Glasgow Office and reporting to the Property Operations Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver a full maintenance service, across Scotland, to Bield’s property portfolio. Providing responsive maintenance works, planned maintenance works, emergency response cover, high quality technical support and design functions, efficient project management and effective and safe contractor management.

You will work proactively in partnership with the Property Operations Manager and Procurement Manager to ensure adherence to Bield’s Procurement Policy and Procedures, while issuing works orders for a wide range of responsive maintenance and pro-active improvements.

The successful candidate will be adept in contract management and supervision of building works. You should have strong problem solving and technical skills to identify planned works maintenance issues, assess risks and advise on solutions. Experience working with CAD is desired.

You must hold a valid driving licence and occasionally be able to work out with office hours. Membership of a building profession or trade; HNC or equivalent academic qualification is essential. Certified experience of building related continuous professional development is also essential e.g. Asbestos Management, Legionella Control and Gas Safety Awareness.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, car allowance, company pension and 34 days holiday (pro-rated for part-time) with the option to buy or sell leave each year. Bield also offers flexible working.

Hours of employment are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
