Job Description

The association was formed in November 1993 upon the acquisition of 162 unimproved properties, and since then, property numbers have increased to just under 700. We also provide a factoring service to some 70 owners in the area and are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of public green spaces. The vast majority of properties are mainstream rental, but there are also some properties rented to organisations catering for people with particular housing needs. We have also developed a small number of flats and houses for the owner occupier market.

North View operates within the Windlaw area of Castlemilk, on the southernmost boundary of the city of Glasgow, and plays an important local role well beyond housing. Our core ambition is to make this a fantastic place for people to live and grow.

Due to an internal promotion, we can now offer the right candidate an exciting opportunity to further progress our work on continuously improving housing provision within the local community. Our new Housing Manager will lead the housing management service delivery team and will also enjoy a role in all strategic and corporate management activities.

You will be highly motivated and able to demonstrate solid experience at a senior level within a busy housing management environment. We are looking for a manager with excellent people skills - able to inspire, develop and lead staff effectively. North View is a community-controlled organisation which is led by a highly experienced group of local people. We believe in strong partnership working and are committed to operating in a fully transparent fashion in all that we do and try to make a difference through being professional; fair; working as a team; and focusing always on the needs of the community.

In return we offer full EVH terms and conditions of employment, including a generous defined contribution pension scheme to the successful candidate.
