Langstane Housing Association is a key provider of social housing in the North-East of Scotland with over 2,800 homes across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray.  Our priority is ensuring our tenants live in good quality, safe homes.

What is the role?

The role of the Team Leader – Major Works is key to ensuring we deliver a professional, customer focused major works service to our tenants.

You will project manage a portfolio of contracts ranging from kitchen, bathroom and window replacements to property insurance works and disabled adaptations and will work closely with a range of staff, contractors and consultants to ensure works are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.

You will understand the importance of ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service through informative communication, meaningful collection and analysis of customer feedback and setting challenging key performance indicators for the team and contractors.

You will ensure we achieve value for money through well managed procurement processes that focus on the right balance of quality and cost.  You will consider specifications to ensure we meet our environmental obligations while maximising the lifecycles of our property components.

You will take a robust approach to health and safety and compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and be willing to challenge poor health and safety practices.

You will be able to project manage individual contracts but also step back and consider the whole portfolio, reviewing the overall programme and budget with the ability to identify potential risks to successful delivery.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and be someone that builds strong, collaborative relationships with staff, contractors and consultants. You will be confident chairing meetings and making decisions but equally be a good listener who is willing to appreciate others viewpoints.
