Job Title: Senior Housing Officer (Job Share)

Location: This post is based at Link’s Cumbernauld office.  However, hybrid working is available with this role.

Hour of Work: 21 per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)

Job Description

Link is looking for an experienced Senior Housing Officer to contribute to the provision of a high-quality service to customers and to take a lead in the housing management team to ensure Link Housing Association’s housing stock is managed to the highest possible standards. 

The postholder will provide day to day supervision and operational support to Housing Officers including decision making, organising and planning workloads to ensure appropriate cover. The successful candidate will guide, support and mentor Housing Officers to ensure effective communication, good service provision and targets set are being met. 

The role involves investigating and responding to complaints within agreed timescales ensuring a satisfactory outcome as well as conducting joint visits or supporting Housing Officers in relation to escalated Anti Social Behaviour and arrears control in accordance within policies, procedures and timescales. 

About You 

Educated to an excellent standard, you will have knowledge of and commitment to customer care, tenant participation and equal opportunities. Working knowledge of Housing Benefit and Housing Legislation are essential requirements of the role. 

The successful candidate will have experience of all aspects of dealing with a wide range of housing management issues in particular arrears control, void management and Anti-Social Behaviour as well as tenant participation. 

The postholder will have experience of working in partnership with other voluntary agencies or professional bodies and dealing with complaints in line with regulatory requirements. 

Access and use of personal transport or equivalent is essential for this role.
