Share your knowledge and experience at the highest level

Housing associations are facing unprecedented challenges. A key part of ensuring that your organisation is equipped to deal with this is by having a strong and effective board. However, recruiting board members can be a challenge in itself, so SFHA is launching a service for members in order to support this process.

Training and development for potential board members

SFHA’s OnBoard service is tailored to your experience level, and we can support you through your journey to becoming a board member. OnBoard will work with candidates who are interested in joining a board and support them in developing the skills and knowledge they need to be part of a housing association through training.

SFHA members and housing professionals

If you feel you, or someone in your organisation, would make a great board member, then OnBoard’s range of masterclasses and training and development opportunities can support you to take the next step.

New to the sector?

OnBoard will work with those who are interested in joining a board and support them in developing the skills and knowledge they need to be part of a housing association. We will provide those who have less experience with support as part of their ongoing development journey in order to help them to become ideal candidates for board vacancies.

Already a board member?

Develop your skills with specialist masterclasses.
