Local Government and Communities Committee Publishes Stage 1 Report
The Scottish Parliament's Local Government and Communities Committee has published its Stage 1 report on the Housing (Scotland) (Amendment) Bill - intended to reverse ONS' reclassification of housing associations as public.
The report follows SFHA's written and oral evidence to the Committee. It asks for clarity on a number of issued - particularly by the Scottish information Commissioner - regarding the content of the Bill.
SFHA is working closely with Scottish Government to provide the Committee with the assurances it needs to ensure that the Bill progresses, and that ONS reverses its decision as quickly as possible.
