SFHA CEO Gives Evidence to Scottish Parliament on ONS Reclassification
SFHA Chief Executive Sally Thomas provided oral evidence to the Local Government and Communities Committee on 29 November 2017 regarding the Housing (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill.
This followed a written submission by SFHA to the Committee (available here) supporting the aim of the Bill to reverse the ONS’ reclassification of RSLs as public non-financial corporations.

It is expected that the Bill will receive royal assent by June 2018. ONS has now reversed its decision in England on the basis of similar legislation (see ONS Decision Reversed in England) so this is a good omen for the process in Scotland.
