SFHA Responds to Scottish Housing Regulator Discussion Paper

The SFHA has submitted its response to the Scottish Housing Regulator's Discussion Paper.   The response has been based on feedback received from SFHA members.

SFHA has been engaging with its members in a number of ways to try and capture as wide as possible a viewpoint to inform its response.   We have:

  • Formed a Sounding Board of members who met in February to discuss the paper
  • Met with a group of systemic organisations following the SHR’s own systemic forum meeting in March
  • Gathered member views via e-mail
  • Discussed the paper with SFHA Board
  • Attended the Glasgow and West Forum of Housing Associations x2 member meetings on the topic
  • Circulated a draft of our response to all SFHA members for comment prior to submission

SFHA would like to thank all members for their input into our response.

We are keen to discuss the content of our response further with the SHR.  As part of this, we have invited the SHR to attend the next meeting of our Regulation Sounding Board (in summer 2018) to discuss with the group the feedback it has received to the Discussion Paper and the forthcoming formal consultation in Autumn.   We are keen to continue the productive and constructive dialogue with the SHR as part of the review process moving forward.
