Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) Survey

Based on a pilot survey conducted earlier this year, the SFHA and Changeworks are conducting a short survey to gain your views and experiences of EESSH thus far.

The Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) aims to improve the energy efficiency of social housing in Scotland. This standard will help to reduce energy consumption, fuel poverty and the emission of greenhouse gases. All providers of social housing) must comply with EESSH by the end of 2020.

Based on a pilot survey conducted earlier this year, the SFHA and Changeworks are conducting a short survey to gain your views and experiences of EESSH thus far. The results from this survey will be anonymised and analysed. The findings will then be shared both with yourselves and also input to the Scottish Government EESSH Working Group, who are interested in receiving this information as they consider how to take EESSH forward.

To date, there has been a fantastic response with more than 60 housing associations completing the survey.  This is excellent as it will help SFHA ensure that your views are represented and raised with Scottish Government during the review.

There is still opportunity for those who haven’t already to take the time to complete this short survey before it closes in the next fortnight - it should take less than 10 minutes.

We would like to gain a clear understanding of the progress that social housing providers are making towards compliance with EESSH, the compliance plans they have in place and the challenges and barriers that they face to achieving compliance.

Once the survey is complete we will provide feedback on the key findings to the EESSH Review Group and also through the SFHA newsletter and through our Property Maintenance Forum.
