Embracing the Challenge: SFHA Governance Conference 2016
One of the most crucial aspects within any housing association is the relationship between its governing body and its staff. Good governance can only be achieved through everyone in the organisation understanding their roles and working towards a shared and ambitious vision.
This year’s SFHA Governance Conference is aimed at both governing body members and staff members.
Facilitated by Thinktastic’s Mike Stevenson, the programme will explore the kind of skills that are required to enhance this crucial relationship and the effectiveness of the organisation. The event will also help delegates to recognise the skills that they may not even realise they possess.
Programme highlights include:

- Internal audit – why is it important?
- How to improve your communications
- The challenge of learning from when things go wrong
- Building your confidence
You will leave inspired by new ideas and feeling more knowledgeable, confident and better prepared for the important challenges ahead.
The conference will be held at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September 2016. Courtesy transport will be available at the beginning and end of the conference.
