Antonine Housing Association seeks partner to offer improved investment and services for tenants

Housing association announces interest in forming a strategic partnership with a larger RSL.

Antonine Housing Association has announced that it is interested in forming a strategic partnership with a larger RSL.

Antonine employs 10 staff, owns and manages 330 homes and provides factoring services to 700 owners in the East Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire local authority areas. It also manages the Care and Repair Service on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council.

Following a challenging year in 2016 when the association moved to high engagement with the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR), the association has undertaken substantial work to turn itself around. This was acknowledged in its new Regulation Plan issued by the SHR in March 2017.

Antonine Housing Association Chair Patrick McGrath said:

“Antonine is now turning the corner, and we have a new business plan in place that demonstrates our vision and ambition for the future and our financial viability.

“Following an options appraisal, our Management Committee has decided that we want more for our tenants and have decided to seek a formal partnership with a larger RSL that can help make our vision a reality.”

Antonine’s Interim Director Mags Lightbody said:

“We hope to conclude the first stage of the selection process in late August 2017 and, if this identifies a preferred partner, we would then move into the next stage of developing the business case and consulting tenants and other key stakeholders on the proposals.”
