Leadership Management qualifications
At Hebridean Housing Partnership’s (HHP) Board meeting on Wednesday 24 May 2017 Calum MacHay, Vice Chair was pleased to present Angela Smith, Corporate Governance Manager; and Angus E MacNeil, Assets and Contracts Manager, with Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management.
The Qualifications Company has been supporting HHP’s managers over the past two years as they worked towards the qualification.
Calum MacKay, HHP Vice Chair, said:
“Tenants are at heart of everything we do that is HHPs commitment. All that has been achieved in the past 10 years, for the tenants and wider community, through HHP’s new build program, could not have happened if it was not for HHP staff.
“Not for the first time, I have said that our main asset is our staff team, my colleagues and I on HHPs Board have always recognised the commitment of the staff.
“As a Board, we ensure wherever possible that local recruitment and internal career development can be achieved, regular staff appraisals, regular team meetings, providing training at a pace that suits staff, allowing for career development is high on HHPs agenda.
“My colleagues and I on HHP’s Board are delighted that another two of the staff team, Angela and Angus, have achieved their Level 5 in Leadership and Management.”
Angela Smith, HHP Corporate Governance Manager, said:
“I was happy to be given this opportunity to further my Leadership and Management skills and enjoyed the coursework.”
Angus said “It is important that Managers set the example for others to follow with education and training in order to improve the services provided for the benefit of our current and prospective tenants and those that engage with us from the wider communities throughout the islands.”
