Ayrshire Housing supports school poetry competition
Housing association supports primary school.
Ayrshire Housing is pleased to support Newton Primary School’s Scottish poetry competition for a second year. The school is beside the association’s latest development at Cross Gait, Ayr, which the pupils were able to visit while it was being built.
Director Jim Whiston was pleased to present the pupils – one from each year – with their awards at the annual school prize giving. This was held in the nearby Newton Wallacetown Church so as to be able to accommodate the whole school and the pupils’ parents and friends.
Jim Whiston said:
“Support for this completion is now a permanent part of our engagement with local schools. Work with other schools over has included gardening competitions, sponsorship, and painting and photography projects.”
