Bellsmyre, Cordale and Caledonia Housing Associations unite in food bank appeal
Bellsmyre, Cordale and Caledonia Housing Association colleagues, as well as their families and friends, joined for one full week to support the West Dunbartonshire Food Share project.
Beth Turner, 9, and David Turner, 9, were amongst those who gave up their time to help shop for food and assist in delivering it to the associations’ offices.
West Dunbartonshire Food Share appeal volunteers were delighted with the contributions, indicating that their collection van had never been as full from one single appeal.
Kevin Nixon, Caledonia Housing Association's Area Housing Manager in West Dunbartonshire, said:
“This appeal really brought all of our colleagues and families together for a common cause. Whilst it's a practical response to a given situation, it also helps highlight the social problems our society is still facing.”
