Now in its third year, the Gowrie Care Accolades brought together 50 members of staff from across all areas of Gowrie Care’s operation for an evening of recognition and celebration at the Hillcrest Group of Companies’ headquarters in the city’s Technology Park last Thursday night.

Gowrie Care Managing Director Damian McGowan said:

“With seven teams and two individuals shortlisted in only three categories, competition was always going to be tight.

“We have an exceptional workforce, and I am very proud of all our staff who work very hard to deliver some of the best care and support available in Scotland, however, it was the three winners who impressed the judges the most. Well done to you all.”

The team at Gowrie Care’s David Street service took home the Bright Idea Award for their healthy and social bike group.

Ryan Frampton won in the Care Trainer category for delivering internal training of exceptional quality.

The winners in the Outstanding Contribution category, the Airlie View team, walked home with the prize for their hard work in delivering a fantastic support service to people with profound learning disabilities.

Gowrie Care provides support to more than 700 people across Angus, Dundee, Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow and Perthshire for a client group of people with learning disabilities and people with mental health issues, homeless people, people with addictions and people on the autism spectrum.
