The Carnegie Trust has launched its strategy ‘Learning how to live well together: our strategy for change’.

Improving wellbeing has been Carnegie Trust’s mission for over 100 years, with the new strategy and accompanying rebrand, it is signalling a refocus on wellbeing as a core purpose.

The organisation said: “Wellbeing has meant different things to different generations.  Right now, the world around us is changing in ways that mean it is time to rethink how we help people to live together. That is what wellbeing means to us today.  It is about everyone having what they need to live well, now and in the future.”

Recently SFHA Live! hosted a webinar with the Carnegie Trust which explored the importance of kindness as an organisational value and how Covid had helped to create a kindness culture, and a more holistic approach to wellbeing, increasing collaboration, person-centred technology and importantly caring about staff and your tenants.

The trust demonstrated how we can sustain a “culture of kindness” by creating a shared narrative, reassessing values and performance, giving permission to act, building on models of partnerships and putting power in people's hands. You can catch up with the webinar recording by visiting the SFHA Live! section.
