Clydebank Housing Association (CHA) has, once again, achieved Investors in Young People Gold Accreditation (IIYP), the only people management standard that focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people.

The association said that the award represents a true commitment to the training and development of young people, demonstrates it as an employer of choice for young people and is testament to its effective practices around youth employment.

Sharon Keenan, Chief Executive of CHA, said: “The assessor indicated that we met all of the key indicators and more, not only evidenced by the number of young people who have joined the organisation and continue to be given the opportunity and support to develop but also through our commitment to young people through our wider activities at Centre81 and work experience opportunities.”

Mary Leishman, the assessor from Investors in Young People, stated that CHA could be classified as “outstanding”.
