The regeneration is being managed by Wheatley Group.

A development of 71 new homes has been given the go-ahead on the site of the former shopping arcade in Pollokshaws.

The regeneration is being managed by Wheatley Group.

The demolition of Shawbridge Arcade was completed at the beginning of 2023 and permission has been granted for Wheatley to build 71 energy efficient homes for mid-market rent.

The development will be managed by Lowther, part of Wheatley Group, and will comprise of a mix of two and three-bedroom homes.

Lindsay Lauder, Director of Development and Regeneration at Wheatley Group, said: “This exciting phase of the regeneration will see us bring our plans to life on the site of the former Shawbridge Arcade.

“This will include more modern, spacious, energy-efficient homes in the Pollokshaws area that people will be proud to call home.

“We’re proud to be working with our partners, including CCG, Glasgow City Council and the Scottish Government to create ‘better homes, better lives’ in our communities.”
