Easthall sizzles as Miami visits Christmas Fayre
Festive fun for Residents of Easthall and Kildermorie
Residents of Easthall and Kildermorie, along with visitors from all over the country, were left scrambling for factor 30 sunscreen last weekend as The Miami Fun Fair ride along with another six carnival attractions visited the annual Glenburn Centre Christmas Fayre. Santa, Rudolph and, of course, Mylo and Sparkle, his chief elves were also on hand in his Grotto providing some festive cheer to the community.
The community event, which took place on Saturday 10 December, was delivered to help bring communities together and ensure Christmas is a magical and memorable time of year for everyone.
The event is organised and delivered by Easthall Residents Association in partnership with Easthall Park Housing Co-operative.
This year’s event was made extra special thanks to the support of MITIE Property Services which enabled everyone attending the fayre to enjoy the Fun Fair free of charge, supporting the many children and families within the community who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to access such an event.
Andy Gilbert, Project Co-ordinator of Easthall Residents Association, said:
“This year’s event was incredible, the joy, the fun, the laughter and the cheer we have managed to deliver for our community, I can’t thank the many organisations and individuals that have come together to support our event and that have made the event possible, it has created lasting memories for the many that attended.
“As usual our staff and volunteers commitment and energy is to be admired, and they deserve so much credit for all they do. As you could imagine, the day was a roaring success with over 1,500 individuals attending on the day and every child who met Santa was presented with a free gift.”
The day even drew feedback from as far afield as Musselburgh with Marie Rose stating :
“I was at your Xmas Fayre on Saturday 10th December whilst visiting family in Barlanark. I just wanted to say a huge congratulation to all involved in organising and running the day. It was superb. Kids loved it and all the staff and volunteers were excellent, really cheerful and helpful. Brilliant Day”.
