Eildon collaborates with Borders College to create new online learning portal
System will augment other forms of learning and development.
Eildon Housing Association, working in collaboration with Borders College, has introduced a new online Learning Management System (LMS) for its staff.
The new system will enable Eildon staff to access a range of online learning resources in a flexible manner, which will augment other forms of learning and development as part of a blended package of support. Now implemented, the opportunities to develop this portal are almost endless, with a range of training modules available that can be accessed as well as the potential to develop new bespoke content.
Nile Istephan, CEO of Eildon, said:
“Eildon considers the skills and motivation of our staff team to be essential to driving our organisation forward, and we want to ensure that we are an exemplary employer.
“From securing Living Wage accreditation and our expanding work on developing our young workforce, through to the training and development opportunities we make available to all of our staff, we encourage our colleagues to develop their training and practice to ensure that we can implement our ambitious plans.
“We have worked well with our friends at Borders College in developing this new portal and look forward to further collaborations in the future.”
Borders College Principal Angela Cox said:
“Borders College is delighted to work in partnership with Eildon Housing and support the development of their learning portal. I look forward to progressing our partnership and have confidence that it will benefit both organisations and the region.”
Deborah Taggart, HR Manager at Eildon, said:
“Having our own LMS will greatly assist the HR Team to deliver, track and report on a wide range of training, for staff located at sites throughout the Borders. The time efficiencies gained through using the LMS will provide the team with the opportunity to develop additional, bespoke training for Eildon staff.
“Working with Borders College has been a pleasure. They listened to our needs, and we worked together to create an exciting new training platform for Eildon.”
