Elderpark Housing Association recently delivered a highly successful presentation of its consultation results to representatives from 26 local organisations at the offices of BBC Scotland in Govan.
The presentation was part of an event aimed at encouraging resource sharing and service development between the business and voluntary sectors which included additional presentations from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Glasgow City Council’s Thriving Places and participation in a lively and informative discussion session.
The consultation process was undertaken as part of the association’s goal to bring together the skills, expertise, experience and resources of the business and voluntary sectors to work together in partnership to develop new services which meet the identified needs of the community.
Eddie Dunlop, Elderpark Housing Association Community Development Consultant, said:
“The consultation played an important part in finding out what services were being delivered in the greater Govan area, allowing us to see where the gaps were, identify partners and shape a stage two bid to Aspiring Communities to help fund the services which are most needed.”
