Elves visit Drumchapel to spread Xmas magic
Drumchapel Housing Co-op holds its 10th Annual Children’s Christmas Party.
Over 50 children recently attended Drumchapel Housing Co-op’s 10th Annual Christmas Party.
Each year elves decorate the office to create a little bit of magic for local children who come to visit Santa Claus.
The elves were busy throughout the first few weeks of December to create a Santa room and play area to ensure everyone had a great time. They also spent days selecting and wrapping up a specially chosen gift from the many letters received.
Drumchapel Housing Co-op chair, Joan McFarlane, is delighted with the recent levels of overall satisfaction reported at 94% and, in particular, that 84% of tenants now feel that rent provides value for money.
Joan said: “Our fun days are really important to us as we know that tenants really value being part of this community and that they can see that the Co-operative works for them in things that matter to them.
“Christmas can be a difficult for some of our tenants and this party brings a bit of cheer to everyone and confirms that we are here for our tenants and our young people.”
Drumchapel Housing Co-operative also held a joint pensioners Christmas lunch alongside other local associations and has held a variety of popular fun events throughout 2019 with the aim of working in partnership with the community.
