Energy Redress Covid-19 Relief Fund

The Energy Redress Covid-19 Relief Fund is an opportunity for you to help your tenants who are struggling with the cost of their energy bills, providing them with fuel vouchers

Posted In

HACT is distributing a new hardship fund on behalf of the Energy Saving Trust between now and the end of November.

The Energy Redress Covid-19 Relief Fund is an opportunity for you to help your tenants who are struggling with the cost of their energy bills, providing them with fuel vouchers, redeemable at Paypoint and Post Office locations, across the country.

HACT is working with voucher provider Charis and its Let’s Talk Shop platform to make access to these vouchers quick and easy for you and your residents.

The fund is available for any households with a pre-payment meter, who have been either directly or indirectly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and are at risk of self-disconnection.

How to access the fund

Over the next three months, £240,000 will be administered in fuel vouchers to households most in need of this support. Any housing association operating in Scotland, England or Wales can register with us to access this funding.

Please email energyredress@hact.org.uk for further details and to find out how to apply

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the reach our sector has when it works collaboratively and to raise the profile of all of the additional support community investment and financial inclusion teams provide across the UK. It should also provide you with some additional hardship funds at a time when resources are stretched. We hope that your organisation will join us in this opportunity.

If you’d like to know more, there will be three live Q&A sessions to provide further information about the fund and answer any questions you might have:

Session 1: Friday 4 September at 15:00

Session 2: Wednesday 9 September at 15:00

Session 3: Tuesday 15 September at 15:00

Each session will last approximately one hour.

Book your place on the Q&A session by emailing energyredress@hact.org.uk and stating which date you’d like to attend.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact energyredress@hact.org.uk
