Free fire and smoke alarms in Scottish homes consultation events
Events for tenants to have their say.
Following the tragic fire and loss of life at Grenfell Tower in London, the Scottish Government set up a Ministerial Working Group to oversee a review of building and fire safety regulatory frameworks. The wider work of the group will look at a range of issues, including sprinklers, electrical fire risk, and fire safety guidance but, as a first step, a public consultation on Fire and Smoke Alarms in Scottish homes has been prioritised.
The consultation is now available and closes on Friday 1 December 2017.
Working with TIS and TPAS Scotland, the Scottish Government has organised events to ensure tenants and residents’ voices and concerns are heard and taken into account on this very important issue.
The Scottish Government is encouraging as many tenants and residents as possible to engage in this consultation. Come along and learn more about the proposals.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
