The s1jobs Recruitment Awards, which have been running for the past six years, reward businesses and organisations who deliver a great candidate experience as well as an innovative approach to recruitment. The awards were presented by comedian Kevin Bridges at an event in Glasgow on 13 April.

Jackson Carlaw MSP has officially opened Hanover Scotland’s brand new £1.6 million amenity housing development in East Renfrewshire which will provide state-of-the-art accommodation for older people in the area.

The Eastwood constituency MSP was shown round Waterford Court in Giffnock by Hanover Scotland’s Chief Executive, Helen Murdoch. The development features 12 two-bedroom, fully insulated and energy efficient flats for rent, with landscaped gardens and private parking.

Fundraising climbs to £1,425 thanks to Bield staff member

Glaswegian grandad completes trio of fundraising events

A 66-year-old Glaswegian grandad has topped Scotland’s highest peak to complete a trio of events that saw him scale 2,430 metres and run 10,000 metres – raising £1,425 in the process.

Gurdev Singh Pall, Manager at Bield’s Westland Court, raised the total by climbing Ben Nevis, Mount Snowdon, and completing the Great Scottish 10K.

A brave Dundee woman was given an extreme spring makeover when her head was shaved to raise money for a food bank charity.

The newly hairless hero, Joy Watson, went under the clippers at Hillcrest HQ to raise funds for The Trussell Trust.
