FyneHEAT receives Community Energy Action Award
Fyne Homes is delighted to announce that it has won an Energy Action Scotland Community Energy Action Award. The organisation is one of only six projects across Scotland to be recognised.
The award recognises not-for-profit organisations that work with communities in Scotland to reduce fuel poverty, improve energy efficiency and make homes more affordable to keep warm.
FyneHEAT was selected to receive this independent award from a Scotland-wide pool that included community groups, charities and other third sector organisations, local authorities, health agencies and other public and statutory organisations.
Fyne Homes will represent its community at the EAS Annual Conference taking place from 3 to 4 November. It will use the £1,500 award to support tenants through its Fyne HEAT initiative – Fyne Homes Energy Action for Tenants – focussing on affordable energy, energy efficiency and switching suppliers.
A spokesperson for Fyne Homes said:
“Fyne Homes continues to invest in renewable and efficient heating systems, particularly in our off-gas areas, and the continuation of our work in relation to advice to our tenants demonstrates an ongoing commitment by Fyne Homes to reduce carbon emissions and fuel poverty amongst our tenants.”
