Helen McGregor Award 2018
Award that celebrates success, commitment and dedication from volunteers now accepting nominations.
EVH, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, is once again delighted to launch the prestigious Helen McGregor Award.
The award celebrates success, commitment and dedication from volunteers. It also recognises the significant contributions that committee members in social employer organisations make to improve services, their local communities and the provision of affordable housing, through giving freely of their time and assistance.
Nominations are being sought from organisations throughout Scotland for deserving volunteers who have made specific achievements, within the last 36 months, within their organisation. Anyone can recommend one or more deserving volunteers – even if they have already been nominated in the past.
Gary Dalziel, CEO of Elderpark Housing Association, which is the main sponsor of this year’s award, said:
“We are really delighted to sponsor this year’s Helen McGregor Award in EVH’s 40th anniversary year. Just a few short months ago, our Chairperson, Elspeth Millen, was the proud winner of this award.
“It is fantastic that there is an award which recognises the commitment and tireless effort of volunteers within the voluntary sector.”
The winner will be announced at EVH’s Annual Conference on the weekend of 26–28 October 2018. A £500 prize, sponsored by ng homes, will be presented to the winner.
Award nomination forms can be obtained directly from EVH’s website www.evh.org.uk, by email from Susie@evh.org.uk or by contacting Susie Anderson at Tel: 0141 352 7427. Closing date for completed nominations is noon Friday 22 June 2018.
