Housing and care provider announces new Board members

A housing and care provider has announced changes to its board members following its recent AGM.

Bield has appointed four new members to its Board of Management who boast vast experience across a range of professional and health service sectors.

Patricia Dawson, Robert Fernie, Isabel McGarvie and Moira Sibbald were elected at the organisation’s AGM, which was held in Edinburgh.

As well as welcoming the new arrivals, the Bield Board also bid farewell to long-serving board members Mohanjit Singh, Jacqueline McCormick and Michael McFee as well as Bill Nicolson, who retired as Vice Chair. Between them, they have a combined total of more than 50 years’ service to the Bield Board.

Susan Napier, Chair of Bield, said:

“Firstly, I want to thank Mohanjit, Jacqueline, Michael and Bill for their tremendous service and diligence as members of the board. They’ve been brilliant colleagues, and we all wish them well in their future endeavours.

“It’s great to welcome Patricia, Robert, Isabel and Moira to the Board. With their vast combined experience and expertise, they’ll fit seamlessly into their new roles.

“I’m excited to move forward with this board, and get a fresh take and ideas on things, as we continue to provide quality housing and services which enhance and enriche the lives of our residents.”

Patricia Dawson has held a wide range of nursing posts and senior positions, with her most recent post as Associate Nurse Director with NHS Lothian.

Robert Fernie is a Chartered Management Accountant who joins the board after 36 years in the Scotch Whisky Industry with Chivas Brothers Ltd of Paisley.

Isabel McGarvie has recently retired from her role as a Partner in PwC and has vast experience in leadership and management.

Moira Sibbald joins the Bield Board after most recently being employed as General Counsel and Group Company Secretary of CALA Group. As well as her extensive executive management experience, Moira is a qualified solicitor.
