Housing boost for new Farm Loch

Atrium announces completion of remodelling.

Posted In

Atrium Homes, the Kilmarnock based registered social landlord is delighted to announce that work has been completed on the remodelling of three three-bedroom maisonettes to create six one-bedroom flats in Russell Court, Kilmarnock.

The near £0.5 million investment, supported by over £250,000 of funding from the Scottish Government and delivered by Keepmoat, enabled Atrium to provide its first one-bedroom flatted accommodation for let in New Farm Loch. The flats have subsequently proven to be very popular with applicants. The level of work carried out internally is extensive, whilst externally, the properties have been well insulated, which should make them easy and cheap to heat.

Jim O’Neill, Chair of Atrium, said:

“I am delighted that this development has proven a hit with the new residents. Although the original maisonettes were good sized homes, they were no longer what families were looking for. The conversion has enabled us meet the needs of those waiting for smaller housing in the area.”

The first new tenant, Mr McClure said:

“I’m honestly really pleased with the property; it is the perfect size and very well presented.”
