Housing Management and Maintenance Supplier: Bidder’s Information Day
The City of Edinburgh Council is looking for a partner to deliver letting, management and maintenance services for our new housing delivery partnerships. Would you like to work with us to deliver a quality service to market and mid market rent tenants?
In 2015 the Council agreed to establish, with Scottish Futures Trust (SFT), a city-wide Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) to acquire and manage housing for market and mid market rent. The new partnerships will complement existing Council approaches to delivering affordable housing by making homes available to people who are not a priority for social housing but who find it difficult to afford quality homes to rent or buy in the private market.
The Council is working towards establishing the two partnerships in 2018 and requires a management and maintenance supplier with a strong track record in delivering a high-quality service to both landlord and tenant. The supplier will have the opportunity to let, manage and maintain up to 1,500 new mid market and market rent homes owned by the new housing partnerships. The homes are expected to be delivered over the next five years. The majority of the homes will be delivered through the Council’s own award-winning housebuilding programme. As part of the City Region deal, there may be an opportunity to work at a regional level.
