Construction Scotland Innovation Centre is hosting a visit to the Active Building Centre in Swansea on 17-18 September.
The ABC is an independent national centre funded through the Transforming Construction Industrial Challenge which aims to revolutionise the way the UK designs, constructs and operates buildings, by realising the potential for the integration of innovative renewable and storage technologies with state-of-the-art digital design.
Working with academic and industrial partners, ABC helps create Active Buildings, which can produce and store enough renewable energy to meet their own needs or more. Their aim is to deliver a pipeline and prove the case for these innovative Active Buildings, which are more sustainable, perform better, are comfortable, and could significantly contribute to UK decarbonisation.
CSIC is working in Scotland to assist the Active Building Centre deliver its programme.
