Kingdom AGM marks another successful year
Kingdom Housing Association celebrates successful year at its AGM.
Kingdom Housing Association tenants, members and guests attended its AGM last week to mark another successful year for the Glenrothes-headquartered association.
Freya Lees, Chair of Kingdom, opened the meeting by paying tribute to Charles Milne, Kingdom’s former Chair who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly earlier this year.
She said:
"Charlie was a driving force at Kingdom who was well respected and will be missed by everyone who knew him."
Freya said it had been another busy year and highlighted a range of activities that Kingdom had carried out during the year, all of which have made a positive contribution to Kingdom’s objectives. She continued:
"The achievements have allowed us to deliver on our mission to provide ‘more than a home’."
Nick Pollard, Kingdom's Director of Corporate Support Services, presented the annual accounts, and Bill Banks, Kingdom's Group Chief Executive, highlighted achievements including the development and investment in new affordable housing; the progress made in respect of customer services and tenancy sustainment; the outputs delivered through the projects and services that Kingdom provides; and the recognition Kingdom received during the year through awards associated with quality housing, corporate social responsibility and their investment in developing young people.
Bill said:
“The review identifies the diversity of work carried out by Kingdom, which allows us to pursue our core activities related to the provision, management and maintenance of affordable housing, along with the community benefits that are being provided through our added value activities.”
Freya closed the AGM and thanked local authorities; the Scottish Government and other funders; partners who work collaboratively with Kingdom; customers and members of the tenant scrutiny panel; management and staff; and all Board members for their work and support during the year.
