Kingdom Housing Association welcomes tenants to Dunipace
The properties have been designed to meet Housing for Varying Needs, Secured by Design, Kingdom’s Design Standard and the Scottish Government’s Greener Standards Specification.
Kingdom Housing Association has completed its first development in the village of Dunipace, close to the town of Denny and a few miles from Stirling. Sixteen new homes for social rent have been built at Ferniebank Court and are the affordable housing element of a larger private development taken forward by Ogilvie Homes.
The £2 million development, with funding of £1.17 million provided by the Scottish Government, brings a varied housing mix including two- and three-bedroom houses as well as one- and two-bedroom cottage flats.
The properties have been designed to meet Housing for Varying Needs, Secured by Design, Kingdom’s Design Standard and the Scottish Government’s Greener Standards Specification.
Bill Banks, Kingdom Group Chief Executive said, “This is Kingdom’s first development in the area and I’m glad that we have been able to deliver a diverse housing mix which will have a broad appeal. These properties have achieved Building Regulations’ full Silver Standards in terms of sustainability which means they are very energy efficient. That’s not only good for the environment, but it’s also good for tenants and the amount of money they spend on fuel costs.”
