Langstane Housing Association has been announced as an award winner at the 2016 TPAS Scotland awards for the Tenant Participation Champion of the Year 2016: Organisation and a Langstane tenant was runner up for the Individual Tenant/Resident award.

The TPAS Annual Conference and awards returned to the Fairmont Hotel in St. Andrews on Friday 18 November 2016, bigger and better than ever. TPAS were proud to host some of the country's biggest names in tenant participation and social housing and join together in celebrating the successes in tenant participation across Scotland.

Helen Gauld, Chief Executive of Langstane Housing Association said:

“We are delighted to accept the award for best organisation. The award is a testament to all the hard work and dedication by staff who have really listened to our tenants and other customers.

“It has been particularly helpful to have a closer working relationship with tenants such as Ronnie Boyle, who was runner up for the Individual Tenant award. Ronnie has been instrumental in making sure that tenants find it as easy as possible to take part, and that tenant involvement is interesting, interactive and accessible to all.

“Flexibility has been essential. However, we’re always looking for ways in which we can challenge ourselves to improve further.”

Langstane Housing Association tenant, Ronnie Boyle, on his runner up award for Individual Tenant/Resident:

“I have been a tenant for 14-years but involved directly with tenant involvement for the past 2-years and for me it has never been a tick-box exercise. I feel passionate about the Association and being involved in the changes that have happened. To be part of the whole experience was enough for me but to come home with an award has been lovely.”
