Langstane joins Social Housing Digital Champions Network

Aim of network is to help tenants with their digital skills.

Posted In

Langstane Housing Association is now part of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations’ (SCVO) Social Housing Digital Champions Network. As part of this network, it sits within the North Cohort which includes Aberdeenshire Council, Osprey Housing, Castlehill Housing Association, Lochaber Housing Association, Orkney Housing Association, Albyn Housing Association and Pentland Housing Association.

The association has seven staff volunteers who work with tenants and customers to help them to become less socially excluded, save time and money, and, possibly, become more employable by highlighting what can be gained by getting online.

The Digital Champions met on 25 October for a meeting that included discussion, positive ideas and suggestions, and they attended a formal training session, led by a member of SCVO, on 5 November.

One of the champions has already made an appointment with a tenant to help them with their digital skills.
