Linthouse Housing Association is beginning a £325,000 window replacement and stonework repairs project.

Linthouse Housing Association is beginning a £325,000 window replacement and stonework repairs project.

The project includes the fitting of new double-glazed windows to 16 of the Association’s properties, located at 8 and 10 Skipness Drive, Linthouse, Govan. Given that the properties are within in a conservation area, the project will necessitate timber windows in line with Glasgow City Council’s planning policy. Phase 1 will also include essential stonework repairs, further ensuring that the Association fulfil their objective to retain and protect Glasgow’s built heritage.

The main contractor for the project is Contract Building Services, who successfully won the contract for the project following an advert for the works on PCS.  The date for completion of the window replacement and stonework repairs project is October 2019.

Gail Sherrif, Depute CEO said: “Following the implementation of Phase 1, the Association will be determining and setting out further programmes of work to other tenements in its ownership.”
