Lochfield raises funds for MacMillan Cancer Support
Association holds two fundraising events for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Every year, Lochfield Park Housing Association hosts several events and donates the funds raised to a chosen charity.
This year, the association held two very successful fundraising events for this year’s chosen charity, MacMillan Cancer Support.
The association’s Modern Apprentice, Lucy Buchanan, suggested that the association could take part in MacMillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. the event was reported to be “a great success” and, as well as the coffee morning, the association held a bake sale to cater for everyone in the community. This event raised £903.38.
The association also held its Annual Santa’s Grotto in December. The funds raised for this event were topped up to £1000 by the association.
On 13 February, Linda Allan who volunteers for MacMillan, collected a cheque for the additional £1,000 raised from the Santa’s Grotto event.
The two events raised almost £2,000, which was donated to MacMillan Cancer Support.
The association would like to wish MacMillan Cancer Support all the best for the work that it does.
