New year, new homes for Peebles
Plans developed with comments and feedback from local community
Eildon Housing Association has obtained planning permission for revised proposals for Tweedbridge Court in Peebles.
These plans have been developed with comments and feedback from the local community, and the final design of 22 new homes provides much needed high-quality affordable housing for the Borders.
Eildon said it will be exploring more sustainable building methods for this development and hopes to use modular construction. This means that each home would be built off-site and arrive almost complete, just requiring to be lifted into position ready for final connections. This reduces the on-site construction period whilst creating energy efficient greener homes for the future.
Building work should start in the spring of this year and complete by summer 2021.
